LYNNEMARIE, HAPPILY EVER AFTER REVIEWS: Madeleine Drake created such vivid pictures in my mind with her detailed descriptions of both setting and emotion. ...From their intense desire, to their need for more than just sexual release from each other, Madeleine Drake painted a realistic portrayal for the reader. Though this was an erotic paranormal read, it was so much more... There is definitely room for a sequel and I’d be more than interested in reading it, should there be one. ...For a quick erotic, paranormal romance that will pull you in from the beginning and not let you go until you finish the book, read Blood Hero by Madeleine Drake. CLAUDIA RHYES, MANIC READERS: Blood Hero was an entertaining read. Set in a time long ago, I instantly feel for Rihat, the strong and powerful warrior. Ms. Drake does a wonderful job of bringing action, sensuality, and passion into the story. The way she writes is intelligent and kept my attention. The fight scene between Rihat and the akhazu beast was entertaining and well written. The detail isn't too graphic, but there was just enough to let the reader visualize what was happening at that moment. The ending wasn't anything I had expected, but it left me pleasantly satisfied. Although this is the first story that I have read by this author, it certainly won't be the last. STREGA, THE PAGAN AND THE PEN: Rihat is a warrior praying for a miracle...you've heard that saying, "be careful what you wish for?" Apparently Rihat never had. This is a very short, fast-paced read that left me breathless. I was hooked from the first page, drawn in by the fabulous writing and the original plot. This story is so well written it's almost as if you can feel what the characters feel, especially in the sex scenes. The battle scene was so realistic I discovered my heart was actually pounding as I read and when Rhiat was injured, I felt the pain he felt. In the final chapter I found I had been holding my breath as I read on to discover if Rihat survived. ...Ms. Drake is a flawless writer and even though I have never read any of her work before, I will be looking for more. And Ms. Drake, please continue Rihat's story, I want more of him...um, his story I mean. SAPPHIRE, NIGHT OWL ROMANCE: ...HOT HOT HOT! Grab a fan ladies! The action count in this story shared the limelight with the smoldering sex scenes... |
